Chemical and Environmental Engineering Graduate College Information and Application Process
Perusal of this website will showcase just how strong and active our graduate program is. From the strength of our nationally recognized faculty and research to the diversity of our programs and students. The department is large enough to cover major academic and research areas, yet small enough for individual attention.
Our main strengths lie in the areas of environmental engineering, semiconductor applications, combustion, fluid mechanics, biotechnology, chemical kinetics, and transport in colloidal and polymeric systems.
The information below is a guide to the application process for graduate students. If you have any additional questions or need assistance please feel free to contact Professor Eduardo Saez at esaez@email.arizona.edu.
Other helpful information:
Applicants should meet the minimum admission requirements set by the Graduate College before sending application materials. Application materials should be submitted before the Graduate College deadline date. After the department receives your completed application materials, it is sent for review to the Department Graduate Review Committee. This committee then makes a recommendation to the Graduate College for student admission. Committee members seek candidates who are likely to be successful in the program and later as practicing professionals. Admission standards are high, but we work with students who have extenuating circumstances. During selection, the committee evalutes past academic performance, letters of recommendation, professional experience (when applicable), and scores from the Graduate Record Exam (GRE).
Students will receive OFFICIAL notification of acceptance to the program from the Graduate College.
