UA4Food Drive 2008
The Chemical and Environmental Engineering Department received the traveling trophy from the College of Engineering for collecting $1,083. This was achieved by the diligent efforts of Arla Allen, the department coordinator, and support from faculty, staff and students.
Special recognition goes to Professor Paul Blowers and Omicron Delta Kappa. They raised $800.66. Omicron Delta Kappa raised $400.33, and this amount was matched by Dr. Blowers, and his wife, Chris.
The College of Engineering donated a grand total of $2,538, which will buy approximately $25,380 worth of food for hungry children! Much food was also donated. The College Administration collected $690, CEEM collected $305, AME collected $260, and there were other contributions from other departments as well.
Every year, the College of Engineering really comes through for hungry kids in Tucson and Southern Arizona. The College and its eight departments are huge contributors to The University of Arizona Food Drive. THANK YOU to all who made this food drive a huge success!!!!
