Sustainability in Developing Nations:
Two Cases of Supply Dynamics and Allocation"
Professor Steven Gorelick holds the Cyrus F. Tolman Chair in Earth Sciences at Stanford University, where he has been a faculty member for 20 years, after working at the USGS for 8 years. A hydrologist by training, his major research interests are currently in the areas of sustainable water management and echohydrology. Steve runs the Stanford hydrogeology program and has co-authored numerous journal papers, two books and three patents. In 2005, Steve was named a Guggenheim Fellow to support the study of global oil depletion, another one of his interests.
