"Organic and Organic/Inorganic Solar Cells: It's All About
Interfaces"
This seminar will explore recent developments in all-organic and organic/inorganic hybrid material solar cells, and the interfacial chemistries and physics which currently limit their efficiencies. A portion of the talk will deal in a tutorial fashion with the fundamental photophysics of energy conversion in these materials, then we will explore what new material combinations are possible, and those which we think have the greatest potential to bring these "Generation III" solar cells up to efficiencies competitive with other thin film technologies.
